I Love Dr. Seuss!

Well, I am in an Emergent Literacy Class for my major. What we were told to do, is create a thematic unit on any fictional or nonfictional book(s).  There are 8 components to this unit and what I was told was that choosing a nonfiction book would be best.  Well, knowing me, I chose Dr. Seuss for my thematic unit.  I didn't find out till after I started researching that it is actually really hard to come up with a unit on fictional characters, places, and things.  What I started doing was searching for Dr. Seuss themed lessons or units to grab ideas from. I found some AWESOME ideas that I cannot wait to use for my unit! This website was my favorite, and I am so excited to start working on my Dr. Seuss Unit. :)
